Families have enjoyed the New England Dinner for generations. This year the time-honored traditions of this fall event will continue, but with a little different twist. The connections we all enjoy – community, family, friends, and of course great food - will be joined with exciting new ideas. While the event name is different, the goals are the same – to gather and connect the community while having a great time together.
The theme for this year’s Shades of Autumn event is “Faith, Love, and Hope Fest”, which reflects the new mission statement of Roberts UCC. With input from many people over the past year, the mission statement evolved: Our mission is to connect with God, as we live by faith, are known by love, and cultivate hope.
Shades of Autumn will include a traditional chicken dinner and more - entertainment, a silent auction, and a raffle for cash prizes. The silent auction will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sister Productions, a regional performance group, will provide entertainment at 3:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:00 p.m.
Raffle tickets for cash prizes are currently for sale. The drawing will be held at 6:30 p.m. (winner does not need to be present).
Event tickets include dinner and entertainment at $20 for adults and $10 for youth 12 and under. Seats are limited, so the congregation encourages people to purchase in advance by contacting a member or the church office.
